An update

Hello,

Apologies it has been a while, however I have been again very busy. As you may have remembered, I started a new job a few weeks ago. I have officially found my career. I can’t say what I do but I love it. The place itself is wonderful, the opportunities, the things I am learning are amazing, and the people I work with are also incredible! So all well in that part of my life. The great thing is that I am also using skills that I learnt at university, which has helped to reinforce the feeling that university was definitely the right choice for me. I don’t think I would be the person I am today had it not been for university, but you know that story so I won’t go down that particular rant tonight.

I am really looking forward to the next couple of weeks too. Next weekend everyone from Bangor is coming down to visit, so I have organised a big  night out. A lot of people from home will also be going, so I decided to make it an early birthday outing as we shall actually be in Italy over my birthday. It will be a great mix of people so I am very excited. Also, Italy. That will be an incredible trip!! Apart from the food and drink side of it 😉 I get to see my family who I haven’t seen in over four years! They also haven’t ever met Jake so that will be exciting. I haven’t had a birthday in Italy since I turned eight, so it is going to be such a great experience. I am also hoping slightly that it might be snowing, though not enough for it to stop us going or coming back 🙂 you know me, picky picky.

Jake is still potty training, it is so miserable. I’m not sure whether he does it to annoy me or not… he has amazing days and then he has absolutely terrible days. You also cannot yell at a child who is potty training because otherwise they might develop a complex about it, and don’t get me wrong I don’t want to yell at him, but it is so frustrating. i do love him though 🙂 so it’s okay.

Anyway, just a quick catch up. Hope you have a lovely evening.

It has begun

Hola mi amigo,

How are you? What have you been doing? Are you thinking about Christmas yet? I am not purely because my birthday is on the 8th (as I’m sure you remembered) of December obviously, and we are off to Italy before that, so I need to save 🙂 and also, I am so excited for this trip!! I have not seen my family for four years and they have yet to meet Jake, so it will be an amazing trip. I am also hoping that it might be snowing, but not so badly that we get stranded or that the flights get cancelled.

As you can see from the greeting, we have just returned from a rather fantastic holiday. When I say fantastic, I mean the best ever in the world. Ever. No one has ever had a better holiday. 🙂 I am sure you can argue that, but please allow me to feel this way. The weather was fantastic, we had our own private Jacuzzi, and we got to spend some amazing time together. Not to gush but you know, I’m pretty happy right at this minute. We got some photos on the disposable camera so will get them on a disc and upload them at some point.

Coming back from holiday, I wasn’t hit with the common post-holiday blues either because I started my new job on Monday 🙂 if you can be in love with your job then I am. I realise I have only been there for four days, but it’s an amazing job. The people I work with are amazing too, and the potential for my career is massive. It is such a novelty to be being paid for something that I have worked hard for, being able to use the skills that I learnt at university. I know that any job is great at this moment in time, and I feel bad because I know that there are some who graduated a while ago and still aren’t doing what they want, but I think it’s something that definitely will happen to anyone who has studied. Whether is was up until GSCEs, A Levels, college diplomas, university degrees, what ever you might have, it will help. So once again, I am going to enforce my constant message that I have always talked about on this blog. Go to school, get what ever qualification you can and get out there.  Also, though I have absolutely no expertise in this, if you can get any form of work experience, that will help immensely too. I love Jake to bits, but this is unfortunately the one thing that I am not able to do. If I didn’t have him, then of course I would take any whether unpaid  or if they covered travelling expenses. It does help so much, and it also gives you a chance to work out if you would enjoy doing the job you might have been dreaming about for years.

Anyway, I feel like I might be ranting at you. As long as you are happy with what ever you are doing, then that’s all that counts. For the first time in my life, I am happy in all aspects of my life. Every single bit of it. I may still be skint, but I wouldn’t change any of it for anything in the world.
